Piecemakers

Serve Around the World Serve at Southwood

The Piecemakers meet to tie quilts that will be distributed to our global mission partners, local organizations and Lutheran World Relief.

Join the group at 1:00 PM, on the 1st or 3rd Thursday of each month in Southwood's lower level Multi-Purpose Room.

No quilting experience or registration is required.

You can support the Piecemakers with donations of clean bedsheets, mattress pads, bedspreads or blankets of any size. Bags or boxes of donations labeled for Piecemakers can be brought to Southwood’s main office or the Mission Office.

Christmas Giving Trees at Southwood

Giving Trees are up and filled with Christmas wish tags from our Mission Partners and Southwood Families and Community Members. By taking a tag from the trees at Southwood or online and returning the requested gift, you will brighten Christmas for someone in difficult circumstances.

Your kindness and generosity will help

  • Friendship Home – women and children escaping abuse
  • Saratoga Elementary students
  • Tabitha residents
  • Lutheran Family Services - refugee families
  • Regional Center residents
  • Children in Tanzania or Honduras
  • Mourning Hope – children grieving the loss of a loved one
  • Someone in our church experiencing crisis

Online tags are available here, where you can have items shipped directly to Southwood:  Online Giving Trees

Bring your new, unwrapped gift (with the Giving Tree tag attached) to the bins at Southwood Central by December 7 to have them delivered to our partners and families in time for Christmas.
