Serving together is what Southwood is all about!

We believe God is already at work in our community. This has led Southwood to partner with organizations in the transformational work that is happening all around us. Southwood joins in that work by equipping and empowering our congregation to serve our neighbors in the Lincoln area.

You are invited to join us in serving. There are a variety of opportunities available for individuals, groups and families throughout the year.

Mission Sunday

Worship and serve with Southwood on Mission Sunday, October 1, 2023.

Because we belong to God we are called to love and serve our neighbor. Our church serves others in our local and global community so that they can feel God’s love and belonging, too. On Mission Sunday, we are excited to reflect on the past year in Missions and set our sights on the future. Worship promises to be inspirational with a message from Pastor Calvin Kessy who leads our sister church in Uswaa, Tanzania. A new serving event is a great opportunity to serve alongside other Southwood members to make a huge impact.

Join us on Mission Sunday!

  • Worship with Pastor Calvin Kessy at 8:30, 9:45 or 11:00AM.
  • Serve by packing food with Mercy Meals in the Fellowship Hall.
