Prayer Team

Care

The Prayer Team is a vital part of Southwood's Care Ministry and is a meaningful way to serve through your prayers. You can complete the training at home and become a part of this meaningful way to serve. Prayer requests are emailed to Prayer Team members Monday-Friday at 4PM.

Training involves a small packet with information on praying for others as well as confidentiality information necessary for members of Southwood's Prayer Team. After completing the training packet and the online Commitment to Prayer Team form, you will be added to our Prayer Team email list.

Christmas Giving Trees at Southwood

Giving Trees are up and filled with Christmas wish tags from our Mission Partners and Southwood Families and Community Members. By taking a tag from the trees at Southwood or online and returning the requested gift, you will brighten Christmas for someone in difficult circumstances.

Your kindness and generosity will help

  • Friendship Home – women and children escaping abuse
  • Saratoga Elementary students
  • Tabitha residents
  • Lutheran Family Services - refugee families
  • Regional Center residents
  • Children in Tanzania or Honduras
  • Mourning Hope – children grieving the loss of a loved one
  • Someone in our church experiencing crisis

Online tags are available here, where you can have items shipped directly to Southwood:  Online Giving Trees

Bring your new, unwrapped gift (with the Giving Tree tag attached) to the bins at Southwood Central by December 7 to have them delivered to our partners and families in time for Christmas.
