Tabitha Meals on Wheels

Serve in the Community

Tabitha Meals on Wheels is a program to deliver hot lunches to adults in need. This is a great opportunity for families and friends to serve together!

  • Meals on Wheels
    • Deliver lunch to homes on a regularly scheduled basis. There is also a need for substitutes and snow angel volunteers.
    • On your scheduled day, arrive at Tabitha Meals on Wheels at 10:30AM. You'll be assigned a route and given coolers of lunches. Deliver meals according to the route and then return coolers to Tabitha.
    • Most routes can be completed by noon.

You'll receive an email with specific information about this serving opportunity after signing up.

Christmas Giving Trees at Southwood

Giving Trees are up and filled with Christmas wish tags from our Mission Partners and Southwood Families and Community Members. By taking a tag from the trees at Southwood or online and returning the requested gift, you will brighten Christmas for someone in difficult circumstances.

Your kindness and generosity will help

  • Friendship Home – women and children escaping abuse
  • Saratoga Elementary students
  • Tabitha residents
  • Lutheran Family Services - refugee families
  • Regional Center residents
  • Children in Tanzania or Honduras
  • Mourning Hope – children grieving the loss of a loved one
  • Someone in our church experiencing crisis

Online tags are available here, where you can have items shipped directly to Southwood:  Online Giving Trees

Bring your new, unwrapped gift (with the Giving Tree tag attached) to the bins at Southwood Central by December 7 to have them delivered to our partners and families in time for Christmas.
