Serve at Southwood Serve in the Community

Help plant the Southwood Garden!

The Southwood Garden provides fresh produce for the Food Bank of Lincoln to distribute. In 2024, there was 13,000 pounds of fresh vegetables that fed people in our community. You can help with the garden planting on Sunday April 27 at Noon and Sunday, May 18 at Noon. No gardening experience necessary!

Sleep in Heavenly Peace will be at Southwood on April 26 to lead us in building beds for kids in Lincoln. There are many ways to get involved with this fun project:

  • Volunteer to help build beds for local kids! There is something for all skill levels, ages and interests! Volunteer Here
  • Donate new bedding items to be delivered with the beds (twin size for ages 3 – 17)
    • Sheets, blankets, comforters, mattress pads or pillows
  • Donate food for the volunteers
  • Donate money to support the event and or organization Give Here (Select the Miscellaneous Payments fund and note: Bed Building)
