1 Timothy 5:17-24

The elders who lead the church well should receive great honor. Those who work hard by speaking and teaching especially, should receive great honor. For the Scripture says, “When an ox is working in the grain, do not cover its mouth to keep it from eating.”And the Scripture also says, “A worker should be given his pay.” Do not listen to someone who accuses an elder, unless there are two or three other persons who say he did wrong. Tell those who keep on sinning that they are wrong. Do this in front of the whole church so that the others will have a warning. Before God and Jesus Christ and the chosen angels, I command you to do these things. Be careful to do them without showing favor to anyone. Think carefully before you lay your hands on anyone for the Lord’s service. Do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure. Timothy, you stop drinking only water and drink a little wine. This will help your stomach, and you will not be sick so often. The sins of some people are easy to see even before they are judged. But the sins of others are seen only later. 1 Timothy 5:17-24 (ICB)

Thank-you

Thank you to those who continue to lead Southwood on a daily basis. Thank you to those who continue to give endless hours to Southwood through leadership, planning, organizing, and working through every little detail that makes Southwood a thriving and God-centered place to be. All that Southwood is able to accomplish is due to our leaders, our elders, those who are willing to put in the countless hours, and YOU.

Prayer:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for all you are and all you have created me to be.
Thank You for those who serve as church pastors and leaders. Thank you for the dedication, devotion, and commitment from all those who work on a daily basis to make Southwood a place where God is seen. I pray that You would give each one the strength and guidance they need, and that their service to You. Amen

I am an energetic mother of three fantastic kids. I am a lover of Sunday mornings when my entire family is together for worship. I love being active, a great outdoor concert, and am lucky enough to work with great kids and teachers daily as the Coordinator at Riley Elementary.
