“The Bible says WHAT?” by James Anderson, Southwood’s Care Ministry Coordinator, Master of Divinity from Luther Seminary
A common phrase many of us hear is, “Well, the bible says…” Indeed, the bible is the most popular and most translated book of all time. The lessons contained within are a foundational part of our faith and an important way through which we learn about God and creation. But how did we get the bible that we have today? There are so many translations to choose from. NIV, NRSV, MSG, LMNOP... How do we choose the right one? Join us as we discuss the history of the bible and its translations. All are welcome as we dive into this beautiful, wonderful, and sometimes challenging topic. No prior knowledge is required, come as you are, and we’ll have a good time.
A catered meal will be provided. Bring a dessert to share if you wish.
